Start with the fork to save your eyes

Everyone knows that heart health is important, and the way to a healthier heart is a proper diet and exercise, but did you know that your level of heart health may also affect your vision?

As a good rule of thumb, a heart-healthy diet is important for our eyes, as they are part of the vascular system. Those little red vessels, veins and nerves in your eyes are connected to a blood-pumping powerhouse in your body, so keeping that engine fueled and healthy is important.

So, in reverse, foods that are bad for heart health, especially foods high in cholesterol, are not good for our eyes and may affect the quality of your vision.

Is your daily diet up to snuff? Peek at the list below to see examples of foods that provide dual health benefits, for both your heart and eye health.
